Indeed, the Internet is a double edged sword we seemingly can’t live without. I think your illustration is brilliant Lewis.

Superb characters that are beautifully drawn, the Mrs GB are still around and doing mischief. I think their opening line now is “ I know you don’t have internet but have you heard about “ .

Great gossipers Lewis

Different clothes and times but I’ve met these people. Great Job Lew

Superb Victorian image, excellent characters, we have all met them. 😄

Really excellent characters beatifully drawn Lewis.

A word in your shell-like Lew. Brilliant.

Brilliant illustration.

Thanks for your comments. Always appreciated.

Super Lewis. Yes still people around like this today.

Great characterisations of people that still exist today and relish in other peoples’ mishaps. On top of all the media gossip. There is nowhere to hide and with CCTV we had better watch out.

The best gossip always comes from my mother, who gives me the wrong details and often the wrong person completely! Brilliant drawing Lewis.

Good golden section ratio windows in thoseGeorgian buildings Lewis! Wonderful variety of noses as usual! Your painting demonstrates what I hate most, someone whispering in my ear. One of my ears doesn’t work, so they have only a 50% chance of success in their communication. If they choose the wrong ear then I get completely the wrong message - I think that they are trying to get intimate with me! Wonderful drawing though!

How very true! Gossip and disinformation seems to spread like wildfire now. The internet can be a super tool if used well. Fantastic illustration!

I still know a lot of Girda Bustles Lewis!!! Great work!

Spot on again that man!!

Another vaguely Dickensian pic. I struggle with straight lines, and don't like to use a straight edge. So seldom draw buildings. Therefore, in this pic, there's just a hint of background. A3 sketchbook, dip-pen and watercolour.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
