Looks great Lewis, the frame just finishes it off nicely nothing else needed.

Stylish, would be great printed out as a card, even in different coloured inks.

Yes I like it and the mount does make a difference I agree.

I like it in mono as portrayed here Lew, rather gorgeous girl - I'm after a house-keeper!

Since I came across the works of Aubrey Beardsley, I've been influenced by this style of drawing. I find it very attractive and powerful. I think it's the balance of the filled-in black areas and simple, fluid black lines. It beats any coloured work for me. Beautiful drawing Lewis.

Thanks very much to all for your feedback, I think I'll leave it as it is. Ibolya...I admire Beardsley too, his deceptively simple line work is wonderful. I also like Black & White images, and sometimes wonder why I bother with colour.

Its beautiful Lewis, my type of art, I love it.

As Marjorie says very stylish...a lovely drawing.

As you know I am a Pen & Ink person and this is really good.

Just like Ibolya, I immediately thought of Aubrey Beardsley. Lovely drawing.

Very nice Lewis. Good flowing lines and just enough detail.

Still on pen and ink. From free-to-use ref pic. Going for simplicity (i.e, no shading). For the first attempt I blocked in the girl's hair solid black....didn't look right. Tried scraping a few highlights, white gouache...didn't work...so I started again putting a few drawn highlights in the hair. When finished, still not sure, thought about adding shading. But I nicked Jim's idea of putting it in a virtual mount, thought it looked better straight away.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
