Lew it’s so good to see you posting, like this one . I could never get the same effect with those tins of paint, you have done a cracking job .

I remember you saying a while back that you were struggling for inspiration! It isn’t just you as well you know, I can go months. Anyway, good to see a good solid watercolour, Reeves do have a place in art, probably always will! No doubt it’s what I started off with when I was 8-years-old!

Love this, Lewis, interesting composition and the sea is a beautiful blue.

I’m sure you’ll get the interest back Lewis. As Alan says, it happens to us all - get yourself to an exhibition if you can, it often does the trick, but I’m sure you’ll know this. Lovely colour to the sea, as Jenny says and that’s a great ship!

I can't imagine you losing interest in art Lewis. Your art is so imaginative and your postings on the forum are always well thought out and full of enlightenment and joy. I like this painting very much. I've no doubt a spark will ignite you again.

Well done Lew, a great painting

Lovely to see you back and with a good oldie - that schooner is wonderful

Well hello Lewis. How lovely to see you back. What you have experienced happens to us all at some point. I do hope you get back in the saddle as your postings have been sorely missed and I’m sure, by many others. The painting is refreshing, joyful and full of charm.

Like this very much !"!

I do like your Schooner Lewis, the sails and that sky too! It's amazing how ships seem to stimulate and motivate and hope to view more seascapes and sailing ships too.

A great oldie Lewis and so good to see your active. I have missed your wonderful pick me up characters in the mornings. Hopefully when you feel right with your art we can all laugh and chuckle again.

I did miss you Lew. I love this, especially the light in it.

Glad to see you back mate, we miss your excellent artwork and humour, this is superb. Keep them coming.

This pic is older than 9 years, dating from when I was still using Reeves Waterclours...the ones in a little red tin. Remember those? (Skinflint that I am, I'd also splurged out on a small tube of white gouache.) Sorry not to have been commenting and posting. I lost all interest in art. It happens. Must try to do better.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
