A great selection of pictures, especially considering the scale of them. My favourite is in the lower right hand corner - superb rendering of skin and hair on that old gent.

Your pictures always amaze me. As they do some of your characters. It would appear.

Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated. Of these, the middle right interests me most. Hardly modern art, but as close as I might get to it. I use these 6 x 4 pics to explore ideas…I’ve lots of these ‘modern’ ideas but never tried a large version. Maybe it’s time to give it a try.

Such a joy to see this amusing, interesting, collection of characters Lewis. They are all superbly created but the top right one tickles my fancy, as it reminds me of Ken Dodd, apart from the teeth,

All are fabulous Lewis! I too like your modern art style painting, it would make a great larger version. I also thought it would make a good image for the Queen of Hearts on modern set of playing cards?

Thanks again for your kind response to these little pics. There’s a thought Fiona! I already have had a set of playing cards made with my normal pictures, one in ‘modern’ style is quite an idea…given that my idea of ‘modern’ is about 50 years (at least) out of date. But it’s an intriguing idea.

Another great collection, causing me to wonder where on earth you get so many ideas from - here am I, sitting with a sketchbook in front of me, not knowing what the hell to put in it, and there's you, with a whirling maelstrom of images that pour out of your pen, pencil and brush. My two favourites here are the old feller at bottom right, and the horrified gent at top right; but they're all good, and convey stories we can make up for ourselves.

Love them all, the bird bottom left is my favourite !
