Meant to add (no room). I like using black pens, but sometimes want the line to be less obvious. Used a sepia pen for bottom right pic...the line practically vanishes when watercolour added.

These are all great Lewis and am always interested in the way you use different mediums

Really good Lew.

Great technical details. I'll have to try the sepia ink

Every picture tells a story. Here we have four different stories and four quite different styles yet Lew is a master of them all. Top left is my favourite.

Great sketches, top left my favourite as well.

Yes, I like the light effect top left - and that hand!

This are in acuarela? Que dominio. Todos genial como tú trabajo.

Four excellent and skilfully executed pieces.

Four superb portraits Lew , top left is my favourite.

T0p work Lewis, I love the Harmonica player.

All great Lewis and I also love the Harmonica player. I got a harmonica to teach myself but the dogs go in to a frenzy every time they hear a note. Might have to pass it on to one of the grandkids.

All excellent Lewis but being a harmonica player of little repute I love the first one, the hands are perfectly posed.

Thanks for having a look and making a comment…always encouraging.

You are certainly putting out some interesting images Lewis

Love this, I’ve been thinking about Sepia, it worked well with your work

Excellent work!

Very good Lewis. The hands in the top left picture are so good.

Fantastic observation of features and expressions Lew, you are a master in these caricatures.

Great skills and imagination.

These are all great - but I specially like top left; the way the light catches one side of his face.

Finding pen and watercolour pencils easier to use, I'd drifted away from using watercolour except in large areas. I miss it, these are done using watercolour. Still using pen for the drawing, I used to be able to draw with a brush. Can't now. No problem.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
