A great selection ... my favourite is puss, that expression is priceless. Interesting what you say about shading, am not so keen on large scale paintings where little attempt at shading has been done but there are some great paintings that have demonstrated it can work well.

The benefit of doing these little pics is that they can take very little time, or as much as you want. This allows me to do something everyday. A couple are done with flat washes without any attempt at shading. They seem to work at this size, but when I try it with larger pictures it doesn't work for me. Odd, because I see a lot of art done this way and like it, but not when I try it. Various mediums...watercolour, coloured pencil, pen and ink.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
