This is great Lewis a good portrait and I like the idea of Dicken's characters.

I'm a big Dickens fan, Lewis, so I look forward to seeing your characters. Judging by your previous work, I'm sure they'll be great.

I like the idea, and look forward to seeing the completed selection.

Looking forward to Uriah Heep. Great idea.

Good project and good start.

Such a good idea Lewis. It'll be good to see!

I bet your finished project will look great Lewis, I did a similar one with small black and white drawings of birds with just a touch of colour in a couple of them, they look very affective.😀

Great, looking forward to more.

Brilliant start. I look forward to seeing what comes next ....

Thanks very much for your comments. Sylvia mentioned Uriah Heap, oddly enough I'm doing him at the moment. I've already done a couple, but I'm not sure about them...I may try again...I doubt that I'll do eight pics in a row that I'm happy with. Luckily they don't take too long.

Really looking forward to these Lewis, they'll be brilliant. Bring em on..(-:

Dickens of a good job well started...really looking forward to seeing more

Brilliant work Lewis and a fabulous idea, look forward to seeing the project progress.

I'm sure you finished collection will be superb, this one is brill.

Looking forward to this series, I'm sure they'll be awesome (no pressure there then) and nice that inspiration and ideas can be harvested from other people's work on here.

I look forward to the entire collection! Great choice of colours.

This is part of a small project I've set myself. I've got two frames that hold eight 6 x 4 inches pictures each (they are meant for photos). It's time I changed them. One will hold characters from Dickens. My palette will be most blues (cobalt and cerulean), paynes gray, a little mars brown and the merest hint of cad red light.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
