As you'll know, Earth sends signals into deep space to contact intelligent life. The signal includes pictures of us, a diagram of our solar system, and math equations. The feeling being that math may be a universal language for all intelligent life. Some illustrators depict this signal as a solid object - to make it more visually interesting. I've nicked this idea for my pic. A fun thing to do...some may find it weird.
