was there a Peter Guerney as well ? and was it Owen Brannigan ? who sang this song ? - such fine characters - like them

How can any of your characters not be of interest Lewis. I love the old fair idea, shown pretty well in the films of Thomas Hardy's "Far from the Madding Crowd" etc. Keep em coming.

EER! Them be lubberly! Nice to see them De'm cider drinkers.

Mike, I couldn't remember who the figure bottom right was supposed to be (I'd named the file 'widdecome pic.'). So I'll take Peter Guerney for him. There are others I've missed. At one time I was thinking of putting them all on the back of that poor old grey mare...almost impossible, even in cartoon style.

Absolutely super.

Very good, particularly like Jan Stewer and how the face has been shaded and fur collar. All have their merits though.

I think they're brilliant, Lewis. It's like "The Jolly Boys Outing". *lol* Brian

Lovely images and great characters Lewis 😀

I’m sure I saw them in the pub recently! Excellent as ever Lewis : may you never run out of ideas!

The Boozers, lol, wonderful work Lewis.

To be sure, I can smell the beer!Another great one!!

Oh wow these are magnificent Lewis, such great characters.

Just fabulous Lewis - you're an absolute master at these.

These are great Lewis, you get so much character in each one and by the look of them most are under the influence of cider.

They are all "tops" Lewis. Am running out of things to say about your characters !

Great characters, Lewis - I do like digital images, they're so clean and sharp, but overall prefer watercolours, mainly because I can appreciate the work that goes into them, I'm never entirely sure what I'm looking at with digital!

My earlier post today made me look for older versions of these characters, where a bunch of old boys borrow Tom Pierce's grey mare to go to Widdicome Fair. I find I only have digital left (must have dumped the others). These are pencil drawings, scanned into my PC, then painted in photoshop. They're OK, but I find I prefer watercolour. I like the earlier post more than the Old Tom in this group. I hope this assemblage is of interest.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
