One man band. (An oxymoron).

Brilliantly worked Lewis I can't remember the last time I saw an oxymoron. 😅

How great is that, Lewis! Quite a while since I last saw an oxymoron!

Superb artwork Lew ,so much needed to get this standard of drawing .

I also looked it up just to be sure Lew! As Dixie said, great drawing skills which perhaps we sometimes overlook in the delight of your work. 👍🏻😂

It always amazes me how you think these drawings up Lewis - I couldn’t even attempt anything like this. There was a guy back in the sixties called Don Partridge who was a one man band, he had a hit with “Rosie”.

Don Partridge springs to mind Lewis. Rosie oh Rosie…. He certainly has all the gear.lol

You (and Chris) have made me laugh!

Or is that one man banned? Looking forward to more illustrated wordplays.

Forgotten all about these guys...love it and the memory.

Excellent picture Lew , well drawn 🙂

Brilliantly drawn and observed Lewis, the instruments are all so feasible in the way they're attached to the musician

Made me smile and scratch my head today Lew. Great stuff!

Thanks for your comments. I did look at some photos of one man bands to try to see how they worked their instruments, but I gave up and just made it all up...so he wouldn't be able to play some of these instruments. (like the squeezebox between his knees, that needs buttons pressed...what does it matter?)

Love all the detail in the instruments, beautifully drawn.

What an amazing drawing Lewis of a one man band with all those instruments - your drawing skill is indeed superb.

Brilliant Lewis! There is no chance of keeping him quiet.

Just love the humour and the wonderful sketch.

I'd started drawing a one-man-band (for no good reason). I'd also been thinking of illustrating some oxymorons, and thought...a one man band IS one. In this context, a band means 'a group of musicians', and you can't have 'a one man group of musicians. So...two opposite meanings put together...an oxymoron. Being a belt and braces man, I had to look it up to be sure. Pen and wash.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
