Great representation of a not so easy painting Lewis. Your tones and shadows are spot on. I gues the ability to spot errors is a natural gift.

Lovely rendition Lewis. The missing finger is a bit odd. I am not sure about the arm though. Her torso is twisted over, I just tried copying the pose (wish I had that figure) and it doesn't seem too bad.

Thanks for your feedback. You may be right about the arm Alita, but it's forward from her body and that tends to raise the elbow...so I think it's wrong. But, maybe it's just me.

It's a brilliant copy Lewis, I wonder if the original was taken from a photo, in which case that arm might have looked to far forward, just a thought, but it definitely looks odd, a thing I hadn't noticed until you pointed it out and the odd missing finger 😀

Well, maybe Linda. But a search for Lempicka throws up lots of images of this painting (it's one of her most popular), and the arm is the same in all of them...many photos must have been taken. It doesn't really matter, I just mentioned it because I thought it looked odd. I still like her painting.

I also love everything art deco Lew. This is quite brilliant.

Love it Lewis, so luminous, and warts or what? It looks like a beautiful dream world to me!

Love it!

great work lewis

One of my favourites, Art Deco and I only saw this painting for the first time about a week ago. A painting friend of mine said that this painting was at the top of her list of favourites. She’s painted it herself in fact. You’ve done a terrific piece of work here Lewis....oddities and all.

Yes it is tones and shadows !.

great job

This was done a couple of years ago. I like Art Deco and thought I'd learn something by copying it. There were a copy of 'oddities' that always add to my interest. The hand holding the hat only shows three fingers - you might argue that the fourth is behind her hat brim - but I expected to see something of it. (??) Her left upper-arm is too long, the elbow should be higher up. Our elbows are in line with our waists (ie, above the navel)....maybe I'm being picky. I've copied these errors.
