Nothing wrong with your drawing skills!

This is a great drawing for thirty minutes work. The movement and pose are perfect. I remember when I took charcoal to my life class fifty years ago the tutor was very unimpressed. He was a stickler for precision 2b pencil !

This would have taken me 3 hours and I would still have come up short! This is a great drawing, and especially impressive given the short time you tool I agree with Fred - you've captured the movement and pose beautifully and the tones and lines are super. Well done, Lesley!

Looks great to me. The curves and highlights make it full of life. It must be such a good exercise having to be quick and produce lovely, dynamic lines.

Many thanks everyone for such positive comments. I'm very lucky to be a member of a great life drawing class and I'm having fun with the challenge of shorter poses at the moment.

well caught. It is a great position I also enjoy the shorter poses, and love my charcoal and conte . its great to see other people enjoying a life class.

Lesley. have discovered that Viking sell newsprint A1 for about £17.00 for 250 sheets, it's not bad quality.
