Pauline Philbrook sent in her portrait of Alfie based on the book extract by Jo Allsopp in the Jan issue of LP saying: 'I enlarged Alfie's photo using the grid system to draw him then used Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils, painting size approximately 6 inches x 6 inches. An enjoyable project! I attempted to paint Alfie loosely but it didnt work for me!'
