Dear Val, I am so pleased that you liked the Woodpecker article and trhat it inspired you to have a go. You have captured it so well . not easy when you are working with a totally different medium, especially as you have had to source your own colours etc. I am keeping a close eye out for the return of my woodpeckers I have really missed them over the winter. By Val Skilton. I receive Leisure Painter every month and when I saw the woodpecker subject by Pauline Hill I just could not resist. We also have a woodpecker that visits our garden and I have often wished I could try and paint it. I used pastel pencils and this is my "go" at the picture. It is 8" x 6 1/2"
