Sylvia, I love your presentation of this subject despite my own effort using a plain background. Your picture has a much more warmer feel to it and the heavy border complements the background. I have never used sandpaper as a support so one of these days I must have a go! Let us hope there are more entries in this project as it will be most interesting to compare the work of fellow artists.

Sylvia O'Sullivan sent in her version of this month's project saying: 'I was thrilled to see Bob Elcocks picture in this month Leisure Painter and couldnt wait to have a go but promise to do a better job next month when his lesson begins. I am 82 years old and therefore very impatient. I used sandpaper and it measures 16 inches by 12. I would like to try it next time on Daler-Rowney Ingress Mountboard. I always work on the grid method'
