Alan Bickley sent in his version of Bob's project saying: 'As soon as I saw the sketch of the barns I loved the old buildings and the general positioning of them in the composition. I therefore kept them fairly similar and basically used my own style, deciding on a winter scene and creating a working water-wheel. Altogether a very interesting project, not having used pastels for a good few years. I used a piece of mountboard for the support as Bob suggested'
