Mark Highfield sent in his project saying: 'I really enjoyed painting the scene, I introduced a corner of sky just to add a little more perspective. I liked the idea of using a wet into wet technique for the distant trees on the hill side. My overall aim for my painting was to create a contrast between soft images and the hard edges of the buildings, and I tried to keep the lake as simple as possible, not to detract too much attention from the more detailed parts of the painting.'
