No, definitely not a step to far with the ewe and lamb, Mike. They are doing what sheep do so well, being nosy. I like the way they are looking out at the viewer. A lovely overall painting. The phone box is a great addition also.

I like this interpretation. You are right, otherwise a bit flat. Mine is a bit too literal so I think it is a bit boring, but yours adds interest.

Mike Baker sent in his project saying: 'I find it so difficult to achieve a loose, spontaneous look; I always want to control things and I worry about accuracy and details. So, for me, this is completely crazy painting. I decided the photo was rather flat and dull so I brought the phone box round to the front and added some sun. And, because it’s the Lake District I sketched-in some hills in the distance. I enjoyed painting it, but the sheep may have been a step too far?'
