Atkinson Ground, Coniston by Leisure Painter
Kate Bull sent in her version of Judith's project saying: 'I used plain washes of Paynes Grey for the path, which normally I would never do, but decided with so much colour, it would be good to keep the pathway a clean plain wash. I drew out the pathway, then applied washes of crimson, orange and green. I then went over these washes with various leaf patterns. I decided at the end to brush out the tree at the top left hand corner, as it was too dominant. I am not that happy with the negative spaces I tried to include in the bush bottom left, and if I was going to frame this painting, I would look at cropping as much of the bush as I could get away with.'
