‘Singing with Whales’: is dedicated to my friend, Tegan, in Australia. This simple watercolour is about a time & place. My last whale watching trip was off Vancouver Island in British Columbia. I have used only Ultramarine, Turquoise & Prussian Blue, with a nod in style to the Haida - native peoples of the Canadian Pacific North-West.

Retired beginner, playing with colour & paint as a way of relaxing, but still hopeless at drawing. I'm a Biologist by training, so botanical & animal portraits are my main interest. Looking to improve my observation skills & watercolour technique. Some interest in ink & Chinese brush too.
