Very, very appealing painting of two superb dogs - are they related to greyhounds at all, or lurchers? Aside from the painting, your description of their temperament seems to fit. Some great paintings of dogs on the site today - not sentimental, just well-observed. I think I'm in love....

The card did get framed which was lovely of my friend to do. I wasn't sure of the background but the bright blue helps the painting to show up in the typically dark Spanish village house.
