Lovely pastel drawing Lesley, yes it does tend to darken it a bit. Try a quick rapid fine mist and don’t over-saturate it, although you may not have done of course.

This pink boat was parked on the grass in Boscastle harbour, it makes a change from the usual ones, lol. Just had to add this to my sketch.. soft pastels in grey Rembrandt paper, 10 X 14". I've used a pastel fixative on this one, it just makes the colours darker, not sure about using it again...
