"Miss Bateman" Clematis

Comments

Beautifully done Lesley, love how you ‘curled’ the petals, the colours and everything. I’m just waiting for mine to come out, as there is a bit of new growth after it was accidentally cut down!

Good one Lesley

Thankyou Carole, mine got lost somewhere amongst the honey suckle, so this is a new plant for this year.

Thankyou heather, much appreciated.

Such an attractive blossom beautifully painted Lesley. Lovely shading and texture to the leaves and petals.

Very attractive Lesley, and gosh, A3 in coloured pencils!

Very nice, Lesley. The flower stands out and is the star!

Thankyou Fiona, I have a few more that's appeared, all different, should keep me quite for while. Lol.

Thankyou Katy, A3 is kind of of large, but it kept me busy for almost a week... Coloured pencils are a slow process.

Thankyou Marjorie, it's great to know it worked,

My first Clematis in my garden this year, the frost hasn't helped them. This is not fully open but it attracted my curiosity, a good one to paint oh no I decided to use polycromos pencils on gray pastel mat.. lots of layers, needed especially the white.. my photo has picked up some reflection in places, where the leaves are very dark green. Not sure why this is called miss Bateman. ! A3 size approx.
