Back in the early 80's, I was going around to galleries in a search for one to carry my paintings. In Houuston, I walked into A gallery where Stephen was autographing books and limited prints. He specialized in night campfires in winter nights. It was shortly after that he was killed in an accident while on a new trek. I loved his works. This is the first time I have attempted to capture his content and style. I hope I did him proud.
