Superb, Karyn...exactly how I remember Padstow. Do you live near there? I'm sure you'd be fine painting outside. I'm desperately shy but find most people are welcoming and interested in artists at work! Or they ignore you completely!

Thank you for all the positive comments. I live in Trevone, just outside of Padstow and walk the dog this way most days so have endless reference photos of the view in all kinds of weather!

Lots to like in this painting but particularly the green foreground against the disappearing cliffs and sea

The outgoing tide in the Padstow estuary had shaped a circular sandbank on the way out.

Have returned after a bit of a battle, since last December, with a surprise brain tumour. Had surgery, just before lockdown, to remove the sizeable critter and now need to get back to a bit of painting. So start off with a bit of iPad painting to try and get in the swing of things.
