What a lovely painting Karyn! Fabulous colours!

Great rendition of wet sand and a terrific overall work. Nice one Karyn

Great painting Karyn. Love the way you have painted the reflections.

Lovely. Painting in public can be daunting but fun. I was painting an 8*6in watercolour in Cumbria once and a young Japanese couple stopped to look. No English was spoken just smiles and thumbs up sort of thing so I gave it to them to their delight. Nice to think it’s on a wall somewhere in the FarEast but no idea where.

A great painting, I really like it.

Beautiful! Love how the eye is drawn into the distance Karyn.

Very appreciative of all the comments. The reference photo was a much lighter palette and the sea further away so the sweep of the beach was longer. I think I need to really study the proportions of a composition mor carefully as I have ended up with the horizon in the middle of the canvas which was not the intention! I am too impatient to get something on the canvas.

This is an amazing painting, lovely light and depth. Wonderful wet look with reflections, very well done.

This is really very good Karen. Our art group spend a week at Trevone every September and make an effort to paint outside, but I recognise what you say about it being a bit scary! I’m usually ok when I’ve got started and most people are lovely! I assume if they don’t say anything they’re not impressed so that works ok. Just keep at it and it does get easier!

This is a beauty Karyn!

Have returned after a bit of a battle, since last December, with a surprise brain tumour. Had surgery, just before lockdown, to remove the sizeable critter and now need to get back to a bit of painting. So start off with a bit of iPad painting to try and get in the swing of things.
