I seem to be addicted to experimenting with different surfaces at the minute. This is a 30x30 cm charcoal drawing of a trail through trees. This drawing is on an aluminum panel that I primed with watercolour ground. If I'm honest the process was a bit of a battle and I think for trees charcoal in wood will be my go-to. However i think the blue of the metal will work well for moody seascapes and I'm going to have a go at that next.
