The Nakid truth, by ek! Good figure drawing Michael.

Thanks John. I still haven't found out what's going off down the street.

I think its more a case of what's coming off rather than what's going off - well observed M

Thanks Michel and Dennis. Everyone seems to be having fun except me.

... apart from the thunderstorm that is circling above. That might be the reason he's off!

Good story Michael, you must tell us if you find out what it was about. Great figure work.

It does seem stormy Gudrun.

Your life is full of stuff, Michael, if I have right understood, but also source of inspiration for your art. Good figures!

Mick, I needed resuscitating after seeing this and reading your narrative...not because of the shock but because I nearly choked on my coffee!lol What an intriguing life you live and interesting neighbours you have, have you found out the reason for all this angst? Perhaps Gudrun as nearer to the truth, it must be the static in the atmosphere. Great figures Mick! I was in a secondhand book shop yesterday and picked up a book on Cezanne, there are some very good life sketches in it, I had inspiration.

Thanks Cesare. These life experiences are all around us if only we look. We've lived here for 40 years and seen all sorts of things happen on the street outside. I once saw a neighbour throw himself on the bonnet of his wife's car as it sped up the street. I carried him in our house and gave him first aid. Thanks Fiona, pleased you didn't suffocate. It may be the hot, close weather. All I can say is that I don't do things like that. Life is so boring, perhaps I need to speed my life up a little. I was actually looking at a book on Cezanne today at Tynemouh Market. I'm pleased you're inspired and look forward to seeing some exciting pieces. We all need some excitement now and again. Something greater than watching 'Pointless'. I think it's out there if only we can find it.

Streakers in your street? What an interesting time you have Michael!

All life is out there Carole. Goodness knows what's going off in other people's lives. I never know what's going to happen next. This is a massive housing estate where I live and at one time was the largest in Europe but has now been overtaken by Ingleby Barwick in Cleveland, to our south east. This area is called Newton Hall, is a ward of Durham City and the population in 2011 was about 8,000. Everyone wants to live here in the Durham City area, including philanderers. Have a good long weekend.

Remembering when I used to run and yes sometimes naked in the correct situations at events, it would have improved this to show some movement "elsewhere" on their torsos to be accurate

Thanks Derek. You're right, a few simple marks to characterise quickness. I'm trying not to imagine you running naked but several images keeping forcing their way through. I've never gone naked in public. Even on deserted desert islands in the Indian Ocean, hundreds of miles from civilisation, the ships company ashore, all male, always wore their trunks. Why?

Did you see if he caught him ?

I didn't Sylvia but I have heard since that they had been watching the olympics all night and had got carried away after watching Usane Bolt in the 200 metres. They were no where near going as fast as him but I couldn't have caught them.

Pastel. couldn't believe my eyes as I drew the front room curtains at 4.30 am. yesterday. Mr. Thrustwell, our neighbour from down the road, sprinting up the street being pursued angrily by Mr. Upward his next door neighbour in his work overalls! What made it more strange was that Mr. Upward works a permanent 10 pm. - 6 am. shift and the Upwards normally keep themselves to themselves. I'd love to know what's been going off because I'm a serial nosey neighbour. It can't have anything to do with Mrs. Thrustwell who's away on holiday in Spain at the moment. I got quite a good view of Mr. Thrustwell running up our hill and running past. It definitely was him.
