Rose, Rose I love you. I cannot stay, my ship is in the bay. Lots of love, Mick.

I'm hearing Frankie Laine singing that song Michael. A man of my era who made dozens of hit records. My favourite of his is probably "A woman in Love!" from 1955, but there were so many...Thanks for the memory.(-:

Poor Rose, she looks heartbroken Mick. I’ve just listened to the song, haven’t heard that one before. I like Frankie Laine especially his country and western music....Bowie Knife!

A beautiful quality Michael

Thanks Jim and Fiona. It’s my era too Jim. It was on the B side of Frankie Lane’s ‘Jezebel’ Fiona and was recorded in 1951, so I would have been 5 and no doubt heard it when I was 6, 7 and perhaps later too. Hundreds of these sounds are still so clear in my head, although I was just a lad. We used to listen to the radio an awful lot, morning, noon and night and I could speak about the programmes and songs for hours. The memories remain and they’re nice. I never thought that later in life I would meet so many continental ladies.

Just love the sentiments Michael. All these broken hearts you’ve left behind might come back and haunt you. Brilliant stuff. Good to have so many good memories Michael.

Thanks Carole. My only regret is thatI had to break so many hearts.

Always good!

Great sketch, Michael, really assured and strong!
