Wonderful Michael, I love the stance, the feel of this, and the simplification of it!

Thanks Tessa. I’ve just mimicked it. It’s all down to Norman Cornish who recorded this period so well in his drawings and paintings of pit life in County Durham. Part of my history, and I can say that his figures and poses are spot on of the life, ‘cause I was there in that pub, as it were.

Yates's Wine Lodge, 1950.....love it Michael.

And thanks for the intro to Norman Cornish who I must admit I hadn’t heard of. I love that sort of thing and will look further at his work.

Excellent, such a natural pose.

Great posture, Michael, super sketch,

Thanks Jim, Tessa, Richard and Thalia.

The fag, the cap, the stance. Brilliant.

Thanks. The genius Sylvia - not me, Cornish.

Love Norman Cornish’s work Michael, me being a native from the north east.. Great swagger about this man’s pose.

Yes Carole, our story. Art with deep meaning.

Brilliant

Love this study Michael, fantastic drawing.
