Lovely effects!

Ah, Michael, this is ace!! It's like you've built it..great result

I like the strength and blocks of colour applied by your palette knife. It shows an impressive landscape against a gentle, smooth sky. Great work Michael.

Thank you Kate and Spencer.

Well, your method works very well!

Well that’s a good way to describe how you feel Michael. Well done, great work.

Thanks Coral, Heather and Carole.

Well Michael, certainly different to your usual subject matter, but I really like the impasto and knife work, and the thought of a view from above. I’m also enjoying lathering on the thick stuff lately, very freeing and great not to have an end result in mind! 👏🏼👍🏻

View from my drone. Oil on canvas 10 inches square. Done with palette knife. This is me letting off steam. With palette knife and the impasso style you really do feel free - like a plasterer at work in a newly built house. The free style suites my personality and I enjoy it. I’m quick but I’m rough, is another aspect of my personality. Not to forget my total lack of planning - I just slap it on, the shapes appear and only then I see what it will be. I’m a total anarchist. Fate will have its way.
