The hills are fantastic. Not having seen the original I can't tell the fiddling!

Thanks Gudrun. I need to make single strokes in the right places instead of repeating strokes when I'm dissatisfied and making it messy. At least I know where I'm going wrong.

I can't see the 'fiddling' Michael, I can see un-hurried brush strokes and overlaid washes to create depth. The sky and hills are fabulous and so is the composition......you're far too hard on yourself.

Excellent Michael some beautiful things happening

Thank you Fiona and Dennis. You're very kind.

Nice watercolour, Michael.

The sky and hills are great and it's a lovely scene Michael.

AS I scroll through the galleries, some pieces catch my eye and this is one of them. I love the loose confident use of the watercolour Diana

That's very encouraging for someone like me who is finding his feet Diana. Thank you.

I agree with Fiona youre too hard on yourself Michael , it's a very nice painting indeed put a mount and a frame on it and hang it up

Thanks for your encouragement Dermot. I note what you say and know I will do better.

Watercolour after Joe Hush. The background is fine but I've dirtied the foreground by fiddling too much. At least I can see the way forward.
