Nice sketch, Michael, lovely colours.

Thanks Cesare. Do you fancy a short project on surrealism. You could use Freud I could use Goffman?

Great story and this time I do believe you as there isn't a naked woman in sight Mick. Lovely little watercolour.

Thanks Adele. I'm actually watching 'would I lie to you' on Dave right now.

Michael....this is just great....am actually laughing out loud.... I nearly posted a comment on your earlier work on a chap in Portsmouth....I was born in the Royal Marine Barracks on Southsea seafront.....was it my Dad in the sauna????

Hi Sylvia. Thanks, pleased you laughed. No, I doubt whether he was a marine. He was very puny and talked in a high pitched voice. He said his name was Rupert. I don't think there has ever been a Royal Marine called Rupert.

Great impressionistic piece Michael

Ha ha! I think you would be a natural on a programme like that Mick, which is a kind of backhanded compliment!

Thanks Gudrun and Adele.

Pencil sketch and watercolour wash. Based on Doust's sketching manual. My maternal family were all seafarers. My Granda, a deviant but apparently a very good artist, had a boat on the River Wear at Sunderland. He was out fishing in it with my uncle Charlie when they argued and my Granda punched Charlie and knocked him out of the boat. Poor Charlie got no assistance from my Granda. Charlie had to swim ashore, some distance as they were in the middle of the river. If you check the 1911 Census you will find Stephen Brewster Hendey, my Granda, in Durham Prison, on another totally unrelated matter. What a pirate! That's the English side of the family. The Irish side were all law abiding, but just as interesting.
