This is an original oil painting on board inspired by the beautiful Staithes in North Yorkshire. I sketched and painted there on a bright sunny August day, this piece captures the light and mood of the day. It harks back to a simpler time, a long summer’s day, a place where the village and the landscape are in harmony.
