Thank you all for your comments, in fact the farmer Robert Sampson had somebody else submit another painting from the same photo. Perhaps its among work on this site, I would have loved to have seen it...

I love this piece of work the horses and the farmer and machinery are all united as one, i get the feeling of the horses aware of the onlooker but carrying on with there work and the farmer interest only for his horses and getting the job done. There is more to this drawing a feeling of being united as one and such gentle power.

This was a recent drawing and I do feel it to be my best to date, When you see it at its full size 24"x18" I am very pleased with it, my favourite is the one horse making eye contact with the viewer... There was a lot of detail in the work that I didnt want to leave out overall it took me about 40 hours to complete but it was worth it.

this is lovely i just love these horses and you have caught the hard work in all four horse and the expression of the farmer is great.
