Super portrait which I hope you will enter in the competition. Nice pose with her head turned away like that and I think the nose is fine. We all do get so critical of our own work, don't we? Good luck in you do enter.

I often find myself staring at my work and convincing myself there are far more things wrong with it than there really are. When I had a go at drawing Tilly, (one of the subjects of the competition that POL is running), it came together really quickly except for her nose. I just can't seem to get it right but there is a limit to how much paint I can apply. I thought I'd add a bit of abstract, loosely based on some of the background shapes and colour in the original photo. [This picture uses acrylic paint and some printed text about the labrador breed].
