A lovely painting to start my day. Love the movement and colours.

I love the graduating darkness of the water and the warm background. The splashing and flapping are wonderfully illustrated.

This Kingfisher has been brewing in my head for a while but I've been avoiding tackling it. In one of those rare moments, tired at the end of the day, I grabbed my painting courage by the scruff of the neck and got lucky! Messy, but fun. With huge thanks to Patrick Byrd for such an inspiring photograph.
