Well painted, Karen, beautiful washes.

Lovely painting Karen.You have raised an interesting point about improving paintings after we considered them to be completed.No painting is perfect and any painting I cannot find some fault in usually lacks spontaenity and does not appeal to me.For me personally the most important aspect of art is self expression and creativity.This can only be achieved through a spontaeneous approach and of course some ''mistakes'' will occur.All of your paintings possess a lovely sense of both spontaenity and creativity.Best of luck with your exhibition.

Approaching a solo exhibition on Friday, I decided to paint a couple of last-minute additions! Is it just me? I collect paintings for these shows over a period of months, only to find when it's time to frame them all that I'm thinking "I could improve on that now" "...and that", "... and that!"
