I write a lot of features for The Artist, and I always advise other artists to use my demo’s as a guide, and to always add your own ideas and input - so you’ve done the right thing here Karen. Very appealing landscape, well done!

Dip pen and watercolour painted from a friend's photo with permission. 27 x 14cm. I began painting this following instructions in an article by Jem Bowden from Leisure Painter July 2017 where one of the learning objectives was, 'How to loosen up your style'. Anyone who knows that article will see that I wasn't a good student, and I couldn't resist 'a bit' of dip pen action on the lovely trees in the photo! 🤦‍♀️
