Looking for a watercolour still life subject for a change, I wandered in my garden and noticed that the snowdrops are almost finished. I picked a few and popped them in an envelope, dropping it on my kitchen table. I had intended to paint them in a small glass vase, but they looked so nice against the wood grain of the table, that I painted them as they were, wood grain and all.
