This is beautiful, Julie. Never have I seen daffodils looking so dramatic. Well Painted. Have you used forsythia as a supporting role?

Many thanks for your kind words Carole. The stems in with the daffodils are corkscrew willow, which is just beginning to bud and open up.

Apologies- Carol.

Thank you very much Coral.

Wonderful painting, love the accuracy of your brushwork. I wouldn’t have attempted this in watercolour.

Lovely daffs, and I like the way you have used the background.

That is so beautiful! Love the way the daffodils stand out from the background!

Seeing the light through the petals is very effective. The stems in the vase and its shadow are the star. They're slightly more loose which works well for the areas away from the focus.

Beautiful picture Julie 🙂

Superb piece. The tonal and colour contrasts excellent and the clean brushwork also

A lovely transparency and light against the dark background - beautifully done!

Alovely splash of sunshine Julie. Just what we need at present.

Many thanks for your positive comments Andrew, Tessa, David, Owen, Stephen, Martin, Anne and Carole. I appreciate all of you taking the time and especially the encouragement.

A life size watercolour. My flowers looked so lovely in the light of the window yesterday that I decided to paint them.
