Beautifully done , there are no rule only the one we think were there but it’s ok to ignore them. I have never seen a book or even a list of rules for watercolour but I’m sure someone will disagree.

Rules are for fools, break them ad lib - provided you don't endanger yourself, or the viability of your painting: those are the only rules that matter. This is lovely, and the Rector of Stiffkey, I seem to recall, got into all sorts of trouble and was mauled to death by a lion he was (obviously vainly) trying to tame. This has absolutely nothing to do with your painting, it's just that the name immediately evoked the memory.
