Thank you very much indeed Paul.

Has a lovely quality to it Julie and a good composition

Thank you so much Heather. It was only a sketch book sketch/painting, but it seemed to capture the place and evening well.

This is absolutely superb, Julie! I almost feel as if I am standing in the painting looking across Rutland Water!

Lovely painting.

Thank you so much David. I’m glad I captured something of the feeling.

Thank you very much Stephen.

Super colours use, Julie, and I like the way you handled the reflections. Nicely done.

Thank you so much Gerry. I enjoyed doing the reflections.

Beautiful Julie.

Thank you very much Shaun.

Super painting. I do like the way you lead the viewer into the distant houses.

Thank you very much Paul. That is actually one very large Manor House and its outbuildings. I’m glad you like the composition.

Having recently visited Rutland Water at Dawn, we decided to return for a sunset. This is a watercolour painted mainly plein air, with a view towards Hambleton Old Hall, right on the edge of the reservoir. It’s painted in a Two Rivers hand made paper pad.
