Started 1955 - now defunct. An institution that introduced many Mediterranean vegetables to England. Reviewed and talked about by anyone, who had anything to do with food in the last half of the 20thC, e.g. Elizabeth David. Killed off by Sainsbury's and Tesco and by hypocritically lamenting customers, who deserted them for convenience shopping. I had about 20 giclee prints made for aficionados.
