Freely executed, rough and tactile...rather good!

Very loose and impressionistic Julie, great colours and style, I like it.

I like your very distinctive style, Julie - the outlining of the pots and fruit and a Very rustic look. I think I'll try my palette knives again, it gives a more textured look. Very nice painting.

Beautiful colours in this still life painting Julie, like Pat it inspires me to get my knives out too!

This is great Julie, love the composition and also the black outline on the objects.....reminds me of cezanne's work.

Lovely bold and confident still life. Super shapes and a really good composition.

I love the textures and colours Julie - you've made me think I must get my painting knife out again.

I love the colour, shapes and textures. I hope it's framed!

It a gorgeous still life Julie! Great colours and a really lovely composition.

Different from your usual work, but it has all your hallmarks - strong composition, a very painterly quality and a stunning palette. The knifework is superb. Wonderful work, Julie!

Thank you all for your lovely comments - most appreciated. Don't think I will be posting mant paintings for a couple of weeks. Am now confined to a sofa with me feet up for a few days.

Thank you Satu. I am a bit numb from sitting all day, but no pain at present! I am having to practice hobbling around on crutches for the time being!
