Thank you for the lovely comments. I think he was pleased Frank, but sadly he only had the painting for about three weeks. He died suddenly in mid- January - it was a bit of a shock for all of us. I now have this painting hanging above my desk and I smile each time I look at it. The portrait of dad is now with my sister.

This Christmas will be the first my dad has spent without my mum who died earlier this year. He misses her very much and so I have painted this portrait of her to give to him at Christmas. It is painted in Artisan Oils on Winton paper and measures about 30 x 20 cm.
