Beautiful painting - I like the mixture of background colours which shows the woodpecker up brilliantly. Great composition - altogether a lovely painting well done.

We get these too - as well as Lesser Spotteds, and Greens; really well painted - this is no stiff, academic study, but shows the real, live bird.

Excellent piece of work Julie. I'm a bit of a natural history freak so wild birds and animals always appeal to me ... if done well, like this one.
