Beautiful oil portrait of Chester Julie, yes I think most of us don't last long before getting another dog when we lose one, he looks to be a lovely little character

What a lovely little dog and so beautifully painted. Lovely eyes.

He's gorgeous, so well executed Julie.

Yes I like underdogs to...but Chester is decidedly a top dog.

This is brilliant Julie, love the pose, one ear up and the other down! He's adorable!

Lovely work Julie, you've done Chester proud.

He looks a great little character. He's a lucky fellow fellow and I think he knows it. Beautifully painted.

What a spunky-looking little character, and what a wonderfully fairy-tale ending for Chester! I just love happy rescue stories, and you've done him every justice, Julie - irresistible emotion in his eyes, superb detail and a lovely palette.

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely comments. It was very satisfying to paint this especially Chester's hair which is very coarse and wiry.

Beautiful boy, beautifully painted!! We have a dog fostercare program here in Oz.Fabulous idea!My daughter has just fostered a new dog and now I am inspired to paint her!

Wow - this is beautiful, lovely dog, lovely painting.

Hang on Studio Wall

After our old dog died, we only managed to survive a couple of months without one before we got Chester. He is a little cross-breed and came all the way from Romania via Love Under Dogs. He is painted in Artisan oil on a canvas board measuring 16x12 in.
