Palette knife?!? Fabulous. This has an extra special quality to it.

It certainly does - special quality that is. I can't believe you used a knife, it's so finely done and the eye is superb.

Fantastic, Julie, especially his eye.

Wow Julie, it's brilliant! A favourite subject of mine too, I expect we'll be seeing quite a few on POL next month.

Julie, this is beautifully painted, especially the eye. Like the background colour as well.

I have two confessions to make - firstly, I do use quite a small palette knife, with a point. Secondly, I did use a small brush to paint the eye and the reflection in it, but everything else is done with the knife.

Julie this is a beauty pallet knives can give paintings a most beautiful freshness and a vitality and this beautiful hare has those qualities I'm very pleased to see you produce work of this calibre , well done indeed.

Lovely texture and expression.

Excellent...... just love it!

Cleverly executed Julie, love him.

Superb knifework, Julie. Loads of life, textures and attitude in this piece!

Superb palette knife work Julie!!! Haven't tried doing animals with a palette knife but you have inspired me!!!

Excellent Julie!

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I really did enjoy painting this hare. I had originally intended to use small brushes to depict the fur, but then decided life was just too short!! In the end I felt the painting knife had worked well, and I am very pleased with the result.
