This is very cleverly done Julie, the greens of the forest and the steep sided valley are beautifully portrayed. I have every confidence that you'll be posting a painting of it before too long but I don't envy you all that mixing of greens!

Very green by the looks of it! Now there's a challenge - a steep hill looking down. I like this and I'm not a collage fan.

Lovely and very effective indeed, Julie. I understand the challenge of painting steep hillsides because there are plenty around us, and I've tried one or two little paintings just showing the hillside without the sky at all - an interesting experience...

Hang on Studio Wall

I have a bit of a painting 'block' at present - too many other things going on! However I needed to create so did this small collage in my sketchbook. I live in a steep sided valley and my studio looks out across to the other side - it looks vertical. I wouldn't know how to begin to paint it because of the perspective - and all that green forest. I used torn magazine pages (accumulated over several years) and enjoyed the experience.
